Story and Mission
F
SPOTLIGHT:
or more than 63 years, Boys & Girls Clubs of
South Alabama has enabled young people,
especially those who need us most, to achieve
great futures as productive, caring, responsible
citizens. Today, we serve nearly 4,200 young people
through Club membership and community outreach.
Clubs are located in schools, stand-alone facilities,
public housing communities, and BGCSA-affiliated
Youth Centers throughout Mobile and surrounding
communities. During critical non-school hours,
these clubs provide a safe place, with caring adult
mentors, fun and friendship, and high impact youth
development programs. Club programs promote
academic success, good character and citizenship, and
healthy lifestyles. To learn more about BGCSA, connect
with us on Facebook and Instagram at @bgcsouthal or
