Story and Mission
AMI Mobile is the local chapter of the
National Alliance on Mental Illness. Our
mission is to provide advocacy, education,
support and public awareness so that all individuals
and families affected by a mental illness can
lead better lives. NAMI members have the LIVED
experience of advocating for loved ones with
a serious mental illness. They understand how
difficult navigating the mental health system can
be. They know the stigma that is faced. As people
of experience, we offer HELP and HOPE.

outreach initiatives as well as the NAMI Mobile Care
Fund, providing much needed dental, medical,
education and transportation assistance to those
in need right here in our community. Last year, we
were able to award over $30,000 in aid.
NAMI Mobile also arranges and funds special events
for those in our community with serious mental
illness, especially during the holiday season.
