Readers who want to learn more can visit my website at http://davidlharrison.com and follow me on my blog at http://davidlharrison.wordpress.com . I’m very much involved these days in the Dolly Parton Imagination Library, which distributes free books to children under five years old, that I helped bring to Springfield two years ago; Family Voices (http://ozarksfamilyvoices.org ), a grassroots group of librarians, educators, and news media, that I helped organize to encourage parents with young children to read to their kids on a regular basis; and Reading Roundup, a community-based group I organized to raise money to fund school librarians with special needs for their schools that can’t be supported through traditional budgets. I also sit on the national board for the Highlights Foundation (http://www.highlightsfoundation.org/about-us ) which supports emerging writers and artists.

Julie: Thank you so very much for taking the time to share with us. As always, you have been so gracious and kind. Thank you for all you have done to passionately share a love of reading and writing wherever you’ve gone. We look forward to continuing this journey of literacy together, and joyfully anticipate the day our paths cross again!

David: Julie, I’ll look forward to seeing you and Jennifer next time too. Thank you again for inviting me to visit about my work. It has been a pleasure!
