A Grimm's Fairy Tale featuring bullying
Lord of the Flies by William Golding
The Ugly Duckling. (para. 1)
“The books are fiction and non-fiction, picture books and mostly text. For that reason, you'll want to find out more
about them to determine which is right for a particular situation” (para. 2).
Bibliotherapy can be an effective way to address instances of bullying within the classroom. Bibliotherapy
can provide the opportunity for students to explore the subject of bullies in a non-threatening way and to address
the issue as a group. When used correctly, bibliotherapy can help create an environment of tolerance, kindness, and
empathy within the classroom, decreasing, or even eliminating bullying problems.
