ABOUT
During the week of March 13-17, 2017, my class for Artists and their Regions and I traveled to the Mississippi Delta for an invigorating learning experience. Throughout this week I noticed many themes that ran deep in the Delta, however, one struck out to me the most - how nothing in the Delta ever changes.
This referes to not only the physical locations, but also the values and perspectives that the citizens of the Delta have held accross time and are prevalent in their daily lives and viewpoints today.
This collection of photographs presents this theme in an artistic manner. It includes archived/dated as well as recent photos of some of the various locations we visited along with a breif history on its role in the Mississippi Delta.
Locations presented in this collection include Natchez, Oxford, Money, and Clarksdale,
