Editors’s ote N The Mind Creative As the world changes, emerging technologies have an increasing impact on every aspect of our lives and that includes creativity. Although, the use of automation in the expression of creativity has has been with us since decades, it is only now that there is a global acceptance of the usage of technology in the arts. Purists still like thumbing their noses at the very suggestion of using computers and digital technology in the arts. I have, however, always maintained that if you choose not to keep up and incorporate technology in your life then the world will pass you by very soon. Like it or not, technology is an inherent part of our lives and is here to stay. In this issue, I have dedicated a few articles on the use of computers and digital technologies in the arts specifically drawing, painting and creation of imageries. I have personally been very active in the use of technology in music, painting and my performances. facets of our lives. This issue, has an excellent article by Lopa Banerjee, about this extraordinary personality. On a completely different note have you ever been fascinated with tales about the macabre? Well, I have always been an avid reader of such tales. In fact, I am planning to do a few cover stories (in one of the future issues) about the history of this particular craft of writing stories that fall under the category of ‘Horror’. Yes - it is a craft and a unique one at that. To hold the attention of the reader with subtle notions of the unknown and the terrible, is not an easy task for a writer.
