The Mind Creative
Milton Glaser is probably the most influential name in the
graphic design industry in the last five decades; a man known
for his versatility not only in graphic design but also in the
areas of exhibitions, interior design, furniture and product
design. What is special about Glason is his ability to articulate
his ideas precisely.
Glasson’s initial training was at Manhattan's High School of
Music & Art . Later he graduated from the Cooper Union in
1951 and later, via a Fulbright Scholarship, the Academy of
Fine Arts in Bologna under Giorgio Morandi. His venture into
design commenced with the establishment of Pushpin Studio
that he co-founded in New York in 1954. This firm pushed the
boundaries of design and challenged the traditional norms to
redefine modernism in design.

Glaser and his peers at Pushpin experimented and explored
with visual material and brought in novel ideas into the design
of a diverse range of products including record sleeves, book
covers, posters, magazines and logos. They managed to
introduce new styles and humour in the design of products.
The Pushpin designs were immediately recognizable and made
them a force to reckon with in 1960s and 1970s.
