The Mind Creative All in all, drawing cartoons and caricatures is a very serious business just as writing humour is. The ability to express satire, humour and cynicism without treading over the borders of ethics and decency is something that might take many years to learn and master. This skill also calls for a very keen eye and an ability to see and extract the humorous elements from a situation and from people; as can be seen in the classic work (below) from the American editorial cartoonist Herbert Lawrence Block (widely known as Herblock). 23
