The Mind Creative Nov 2013 MANISHA: The response has been lovely. It is a “quiet” book and as it follows the ragas it’s not fast paced. Those who have liked it have been very generous with their feedback. TMC: Are you working on another writing project or book? MANISHA: I’ve started some work but as I work full time and also have a family to look after, it does take time. I’m not great at waking up and writing at 3 AM! TMC: There are many aspiring writers out there. Do you have any special words of advice for them? MANISHA: I would advise them to just start writing; it starts with one word at a time. I found that doing a writing course and being part of a writers’ group, really helped. We meet once a month and share our work with each other. Also, aspiring writers should write about something that they are interested in and, of course, read a lot. 24
