The Mind Creative March 2014
Other than Kevin O’Connell, there are many Hollywood legends
who could be added in this “unlucky” category at the Academy
Awards. Here are some examples (courtesy International Business
Times)
Cary Grant acted in a many comedies and
thrillers but was apparently ignored by the
Academy because he went independent and was
not on contract with any of the studios.
James Dean, the gifted actor died in 1955 after
completing just his third film, Giant.
Steve McQueen: Throughout his illustrious
career was just nominated once for his role in
“The Sand Pebbles” (1966).
Harrison Ford has acted in some of the highest
grossing films (including the Star Wars Trilogy
and the Indiana Jones trilogy) and has been
nominated just once for “Witness”, 1985.
