THE MONTHLY EDITION OF THE MONTHLY NEWS MONTHLY; A DIVISION OF THE NIGHTLY NEWS NIGHTLY
Dear Reader,
My thanks to the staff at The Metro Times for bringing on the Monthly News Monthly as a contributor. What do we contribute? It has yet to be determined. Also, it must be stated that the views and opinions expressed in this article do not nor should they probably ever represent the views and opinions of The Metro Times, its parent companies, underwriters, or readers. Let’ s face it... the following article is not suitable for the literate masses. That being said, enjoy.
The Summer in Review, So Far …
We begin with Kylie Jenner taking donations from overzealous celeb worshippers who don’ t know any better than to donate to her cause of being the youngest self-made billionaire because let’ s face it; nothing says self-made like having a family known for merchandising every ounce of their being for years. From homemade accidentally-on-purpose leaked videos to reality television vehicles, to high profile relationships, break-ups, coming out stories, and internet-breaking media campaigns, the Kardashian- Jenner clan has undoubtedly paved the way for Kylie to be 100 % totally and entirely self-made. Which begs the question of our readers: Is it smart marketing or taking advantage of a public unwilling to let go of celebrity culture? Maybe it’ s time to have that discussion? What do you think?
Then there is the World Cup, honestly a time when the world can pull together and physically assault one other for reasons other than militaristic egocentrism. Mexico City experienced seismic activity because of Mexico’ s victory against Germany in an earlier round … this one time it cannot be attributed to the aftermath of Taco Tuesday. Yes, the news is willing to sink that low. We maintain a high standard of journalistic integrity here at the Monthly News Monthly. Also, Russia had an opportunity to show off how diplomatic it could be by hosting the World Cup, just like Hitler showed the world how diplomatic he was when Berlin hosted the Olympics twice. The good news is that Putin kept his shirt on and no bears were harmed in the World Cup proceedings. Congratulations to the African French team – dubbed as such because half the French team is immigrants from various African nations. It is a beautiful message that no matter where you begin your journey, you can be a success as an immigrant.
NOW HIRING
Speaking of aliens, also this summer there was discussion of the formation of a new branch of the US Military, a new Space Force. President Donald Trump suggested this change to protect the Earth from baddies from outer space. His first instinct was to build a wall around the Earth’ s atmosphere and let the Martians pay for it. After much Oval Office debate and discussion, his advisors finally convinced him that mortar and cement blocks would not hold together in the Earth’ s atmosphere and that such a wall would block out the sun. Upon hearing this, Trump responded immediately by calling Mitch McConnell and House Speaker Paul

Ryan to tell them he has figured out a way to defeat those crazy environmentalists and their alleged solar energy. Fortunately, there will be no wall. A wall never worked for the Chinese, so there is historical precedent. When our top-notch investigative journalists looked into the motivations for creating the new space force, it was discovered that President Trump had recently watched“ Avengers: Infinity War” and became alarmed that enemies to democracy like Thanos and his minions might invade Earth, probably with the help of the Martians that are coming to take our jobs.
Please note that the Monthly News Monthly only comes out on a monthly basis, but if you appreciated this new contribution to The Metro Times, please let them know so that we may continue our bombastic journalistic endeavors.

A NIGHT OF FREEDOM
Jessica Lamb Atlanta Redemption Ink
ur past does not define us,
Owe can be changed by what has happened in our lives, but we can’ t let it reduce us. We cannot allow the past to define us, destroy us, discourage us, or defeat us; but we can allow our past to strengthen us!
Please join us as Atlanta Redemption Ink presents,“ Survivor’ s Art” on September 22, 2018. This will be an art gallery of pieces and writings submitted by survivors of sexual abuse, recovered addicts, former self-harmers, and survivors of domestic and gang violence who are taking steps in their recovery towards wholeness and healing. Additional pieces submitted by partnered local artists who support our mission. This event will strip the labels once placed on us by society and shows that we are so much more than our experiences and stories, but we are thriving people who are passionate to see healing in our community.
