The eyeball contains two systems; the optic and visual system. The eyeball can also be broken down by layers being; 1) fibrous layer, 2) vascular layer and 3) the Inner layer. Fibrous layer: Figure below shows all three layers. The fibrous layer contains the sclera and cornea. The vascular layer, Uvea (uvea,latin for grape) contains the choroid, the ciliary body and the iris. This layer lies between the fibrous layer and inner layer and is sometimes called the middle layer. Finally, what we are focused on for this article is the inner layer. Figure 5
