EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE
INCREASING
YOUR IQ
Controlling Information
in The Conscious and
Subconscious Mind
I
NFORMATION THAT YOU DEEM
important is stored in your conscious
mind. Anything you see, hear or otherwise
experience that you do not consider important is
stored in your subconscious mind.
On a day-to-day basis, you only remember
the information stored in your consciousness.
However, when you put extreme pressure
on your mind, you begin to remember the
information stored in your subconsciousness.
Some people have a habit of overthinking.
If you wear a jacket every day, it’ll wear out
very soon. In a similar way, when you overload
your brain, you open the gateway between your
subconscious and conscious mind. In that state,
thoughts start to come to the forefront of your
mind from your subconsciousness, which often
leads to confusion and doubts.
This happens when we don’t pay attention
to our surroundings and the information we
store in our subconsciousness is incomplete.
Let’s suppose yo u are walking down a street
and the only information registered by your
subconscious is the street sign. The next time
thoughts from the subconsciousness rain down
upon you, your mind will be disturbed as you try
to piece together the information relevant to the
street sign that you remember. This is when your
thoughts become ruffled.
Your IQ level depends on the information
stored in your consciousness.
Remember: you can ignore things, but your
eyes cannot. Your eyes are like cameras; if
you keep your cameras on, they will continue
showing images whether or not you want to see
them. Your eyes record every image and your
ears record every word said in your presence.
In order to have a healthy mind, always look
at your surroundings with attention. If you don’t

ANA
‘To improve your IQ level, when you
look at something, pay attention.
If you pay attention, every piece
of information will go into your
conscious mind. If you don’t pay
attention, it will go into your
subconscious mind. As a result,
your IQ level will go down.’
- HH Younus AlGohar
pay attention, firstly, the images will be stored
in your subconscious mind and, secondly, they
will not have enough information associated
with them. This incomplete information in your
subconsciousness will trouble you later on.
When things are incomplete and they transfer
themselves from the subconscious mind into the
conscious mind, they create doubts.
We refer to someone who is unaware of their
surroundings as an ‘absent mind’. What is absent,
exactly? Their mind itself is not absent; rather,
the information is absent from their mind.
Your IQ level is judged by what you have in
your conscious mind and how much it is affected
by your subconscious mind. If the information
stored in your mind is incomplete, your IQ
level will go down. When you pay attention and
complete the information being stored in your
mind, then it will go into your consciousness
rather than your subconsciousness.
So next time you sit down anywhere, take a
couple of minutes to register your surroundings.
Note the objects in front of you and around you
before beginning the task you initially set out
to do. This will not only help you stay focused
in life, but it will improve your mental health,
intelligence and aid you in maintaining peace of
mind.

Your ability to feel emotions is
linked to your souls
I
T IS NOT THE BODY WHICH HAS THE
outburst of emotions. Emotions are very
spiritual and abstract; you don’t see them, but
you do feel them.
Spirituality is the original knowledge of human
beings - their existence, their functions and their
beings. According to spirituality, many of our
senses relate to souls located in the human body.
Besides this, these souls have many obscure
and common functions in the human body; the
common functions are available to most people
while the obscure functions are only unlocked
with the help of spiritual knowledge.
One of the functions of the souls available to
all is the ability to have emotions. Sometimes,
individuals who do not manage to enlighten their
souls begin to suffer from emotional incapacities
when their souls malfunction or are afflicted by
esoteric ailments.
One of the major signs of malfunctioning and
diseased souls is a lack of empathy. A person
suffering from such an ailment becomes stone-
hearted, egocentric and blind to compassion as
they lose the ability to feel empathy altogether.
You can safeguard your souls from diseases,
revive them and unlock their obscure functions
with the help of HDE Gohar Shahi’s method of
enlightenment known as the Opening of the
Spiritual Heart (learn more on page 10).

MAIN FUNCTIONS OF SUBTLETIES
IN THE HUMAN BODY
His Divine Eminence Lord Ra Riaz Gohar Shahi
explains that man is a compound of many
spirits. Accompanying the Main Human Soul
are six auxiliary souls. One soul is located in the
forehead, one at the naval point and four along
with the Main Human Soul are in the breast.
They are responsible for different spiritual and
physical functions in the body. The main functions
of the spirits are outlined here.
