Welcome to our first fall issue!
The air is crisp, the days are shorter, students are heading off to school, and business picks up the pace again. It's time to pack away your beach towels, flip flops and bathing suits, and trade in your t-shirts for cozy sweaters and hoodies, Fall is my favourite season, I look forward to the cooler temperatures, the leaves changing colour and the chance to sit inside, sipping a hot drink and enjoying a good book.
This issue is full of things to cozy up to. While you're stuck in class or at work, you can still day dream about taking a trip as Cait Stevenson brings us a piece that looks at travel in the Middle Ages. What's not so cozy is some fascinating new research on leprosy, a prevalent disease in the Middle Ages. There's more medical details in Winston Black's examination on medieval advancements in medical theory - advancements which still impact modern science!
Dani takes us to magnificent Sudeley Castle, and we both share the spectacular views from the top of the Abbey of Saint Roman in Southern France.
