Letter from the General Manager
May 2017
If only the old adage “April showers bring May flowers” were true! Not this year in Florida! In
the month of April we had beautiful “dry” weather that was great for enjoying a round of golf, a game
of tennis, or any outdoor activity at the club. As we move into the month of May it looks like the
pattern will continue but we all wish for a little rain to keep our courses and courts playable. All three
courses are in great shape today, but we need Mother Nature to help with some rain to keep things
green and healthy and fill our ponds. A nighttime rain would be a wonderful thing!
Last month the club held the annual “Meadows Cup” golf tournament to benefit Easter Seals of
Southwest Florida. The tournament was sold out again and we are in hopes of exceeding the donations
raised last year for this worthy cause. I would like to thank all the Members for supporting this event
each year and look forward to opportunity to host the event next year.
I would like to welcome our Summer Members to the club. May 1st starts the summer season at
the club and we anticipate a record number of summer members to join this year. Our best referrals
are from our Members to recommend their friends to join the club. We think that our summer
program is the best value in the market with all we have to offer. If you know a friend or family
member that is interested in joining us for the summer, please email Glenda Bachner at:
[email protected] or call 378-5957 to sign up today.
As always hope to see you at the club soon.
