7. I think that women should participate in jury duties just as

much as men. We have the same thought process as men, so I don't understand why women couldn’t serve back when I was a young girl.

8. I didn’t know why he was acting that way; I thought he was going through a rough patch in his life. I assume he did so because he thought he was more mature or better than me and didn’t want to be around me because I am younger than him. Jem viewed me as being soft, weak, and of course, a girl.

9. My Aunt Alexandra’s opinions infuriated me when I was younger; I thought I could do anything a boy could, and better. Her opinions made me want to defy the gender stereotypes.

10. Yes, I believe society used to see gender roles as the norm. Now I think society has become more open to the idea that women and men are equal. Now that women can vote it has changed women's gender roles drastically.
