For the past dozen years, Debby Kurti has had experience as an online student and online teacher. Through @ONE, CVC and graduate education programs, she has mentored hundreds of other faculty willing to leap outside the classroom walls. Debby is an educational experimentalist. Her teaching style is an eclectic blend of constructivist pedagogy fused with social learning theory that allows her to facilitate interesting experiences that peak her students’ curiosity and desire to know more. Kara Kuvakas is an adjunct professor at many California colleges and universities in various scientific disciplines (geology, chemistry, geography, and environmental science). Her classes incorporate interactive media, videos, and popular culture into the standard curriculum, and she strives to make even obscure scientific facts accessible to today's students. She received her B.S. in earth science from UC Santa Cruz (1998) and her master's in environmental science and management from UC Santa Barbara (2001).
Dr. W. Cherry Li-Bugg has close to 20 years of instruction and administrative leadership experience in the community colleges. A collaborative leader with excellent human acumen, she has proven ability to apply the best principles of collaborative leadership to help achieve harmony and unity in fulfilling the mission of student success in the community colleges.
Michelle Lis is a full-time tutor for the Kaplan University Math Center. Michelle organizes school-wide live workshops, creates a monthly newsletter, organizes and creates learning modules, provides outreach to students, and performs live tutoring. Michelle has more than 15 years experience in education.
