The Durano perfection

Schwalbe's performance tire: The Durano is one of the fastest threads around with the least rolling resistance..

HIGH on the spectrum of the folding bike tire is the Schwalbe Durano.

These are only found on performance folding bikes and is one of the best and fastest tire threads around.

The Durano offers low surface resistance, excellent road holding and puncture protection.

It's also not cheap as a single folding bead tire costs around RM138 a piece.

For starters, the Schwalbe Durano has a sleek profile (20 x 1.0) and weighs only 190grammes.

It offers punture protection and is rated high on durability.

And on the straight, the Durano will perform. You can crank it up to top speed and it will hold as the tires are grippy.

Fitted on a lighweight bike and performance tire rims such as the Kinetix Pro (found on high-end Tern folding bikes), the Durano can easily gain speeds up to 35km/h almost effortlessly.

But, if you have plans to use the Durano on your 20" bike, make sure that your rims have the ERTO ratings of 28 - 406 as it is the recommended size for the tires to fit.

So, when you expect the Durano to perform, it does just that! For more information on the Schwalbe Durano, log onto www.schwalbetires.com.
