Garmin's entry-level bicycling GPS - the EDGE 200 replaces your cyclometer with some extra bells and whistles you can utilise for your bicycling needs..
GARMIN'S EDGE 200 GPS-powered cycling computer is meant for the cylists who wants a no-frills entry-level gadget for
their bike.
Unlike it's cousins, the EDGE501, 801 and 1000, the EDGE200 provides simple reading such as time of the day, distance,
speed and other basic displays.
It doesn't come with a mapping feature, hence the affordable pricetag of RM495.
The EDGE200 is also one of Garmin's smallest cycling GPS unit measuring at 4.8 x 6.9 x 2.1 cm.
And speaking function, it features track-logging with satellite feed, where you can record and track your time, speed and distance including GPS coordinates with the unit.
A bike mount comes standard with the EDGE200.
It has a battery life of 14 hours and is also quite useful for touring riders to log their distance and later share the information over Garminconnect.com which is a website where other cyclists can share their ride information.
The EDGE200 is ready to be used out of the box and once fully charged, it can be easily set to log your ride and training
session on the road.
It's also waterproof (IPX-7 rated) and protected against the elements.
There are four buttons on this GPS unit that allows you to access its functions.
You are also able to customise its black and white display screen to show your ride information.
The bottom-line here is that the EDGE200 is easy to use and replaces your traditional cyclometer with the advantage of GPS-enable track logging.
More information on the EDGE200 can be found online on www.garmin.com.
