Journey of the Adventure Joe

Life is worth living for a veteran cyclist who had planned it all out and age is no barrier in his quest to see the world on two wheels..

HAVE BIKE WILL TRAVEL: Roger and his trusty Tern Joe D24 at the King's 80th Birthday Bridge over Thale Noi lake in Patthalung, Thailand.

ROGER TEOH was first in line at the Tern Tea Party in late 2011 and made a decision he never regret to purchase a Tern Joe D24 - 26" folding bike.

His intention was to do a solo tour of Southern Thailand that same year.

The retired real estate agent made plans to travel around the region with this bicycle and had done plenty of research

including learning foreign language from a Thai temple in Petaling Jaya.

"I have been to Thailand and has always wanted to explore certain parts of the country with a bicycle.

"So the folding bike is my first choice because its easy to transport," he explained.

Roger said he prefers the Tern Joe because of its features and ease of maintenance.

"I picked a bike that is easy to upkeep and find parts especially in third word countries. After doing some extensive

research, I've pretty much narrowed in down to a 26" Tern folding bike," he elaborated.

Since purchasing the bike, Roger said he had joined folding bike enthusiasts on social rides and also bicycle touring rides around the country.

He began to explore Thailand with a group of friends in a series of rides in the Southern provinces of the country.

Apart from that, Roger had also traveled to Vietnam and Cambodia and has extensive plans to tour in Indonesia.

"My next destination is Medan in Indonesia where I will explore some of the local attractions on my bicycle."

To stay in shape, Roger cycles regularly.
