The Malaysian Foldie issue 08, April 2014 | Seite 3

Editor's note

MARCH was a month of anguish and grief for us Malaysians as we pray for the missing flight MH370.

My thoughts and prayers continues to go out to the passengers and crew members of the Malaysia Airlines Boeing 777-200 bound for Beijing.

I caught wind of this while I was covering the 2014 Taipei Cycle Show in Taiwan.

Apart from that, city dwellers in the Klang Valley had to confront water shortage and the haze.

That's strike three.

Moving on, I've had a fruitful visit to Taiwan and learned a lot from the largest bicycle trade show in the region.

Met my fellow Malaysian friends at the fair and spoke to some really interesting people.

One of the highlights of my visit was the 2nd Annual Tern Social Ride.

In this event, I rode with some key members of Team Tern including its captain Joshua Hon.

We spoke about bikes and food, and the social ride was truly a memorable experience.

Cyclists, dealers and friends were led on a 15km ride through Taipei's cycling path and the event ended at a former floral expo site.

In this issue of The Malaysian Foldie, we aslo featured the Karak - Kuala Gandah Elephant sanctuary ride.

On gadgets, accessory manufacturer Biologic showcased some of their new products with the Bluetooh 4.0 speed and cadence sensor taking centrestage.

The Malaysian Foldie also pays tribute to the legendary Dahon Speed P8. Read about it in the review section.

Lastly, I would like to thank all you readers from Malaysia and around the world for your continuous support and hope that we will be able to come up with the mobile edition soon.
