Bring out the Moon!
Illuminate your path with the meteor 200 mini-light that packs a real punch in a compact package..
THE first time I came across Moon-Sport's Meteor 200 compact headlight, I didn't take a second look.
That was until I realized that a headlight on the helmet is important -- especially when you tend to forget about re-mounting the headlight seat on your handlebar.
So, that said, I took a trip to my trusty dealer Johnny Ng's shop in BU 4, Bandar Utama to seal the deal.
And at RM189 a pop, the Meteor 200 comes with a handlebar and helmet mount.
It has a full output of 200-lumens which is enough to light up a dark path and at its brightest settings, the light has a run time of 1 hour 50 minutes.
You can reduce the brightness to 50-lumens and run it at a record time of 8 hours.
Apart from being momentarily-on, the Meteor can be programmed to flash and it has a strobe-mode.
And if you ever fell into a ravine and expect to be rescued, there's the S.O.S mode to enable search and rescue.
The Meteor uses a 12000mAh lithium-polymer batttery and the typical first-time charge is five hours.
You can plug it into your mains via its USB port or use a powerbank to re-charge the light when you are traveling.
What I found interesting, is the coated lens on the light's barrel and its CREE R-5 technology.
When you expect it to be bright, the Meteor performs!
