jurisprudence for the husband

What is the verdict about a
husband who neglects his
home, wife and children?
4. When we discuss the beating
of the antagonistic wife in a
religious context, everyone
agrees that it should be a
beating that doesn’t cause
harm. However, in real life, the
case is quite different, and the
harmful beating and physical
abuse toward the wife is
common. What are the
boundaries of beating the
antagonistic wife in particular,
and what is the punishment for
the husband who crosses these
boundaries? Isn’t reforming
others better done through
patience and kind treatment
instead of physical abuse that
creates humiliation, especially
if it’s done toward a person who
is weaker than you, and who is
under your protection?
