T WO P RO P H E T S , I B R A H I M A N D I S A A . S BY: LAILA ALI It goes without saying that the theme of sacrifice was prevalent in both of their lives.  And Subhanallah! What an honor it is to sacrifice that which Allah swt Has Bestowed upon you, for the Sake of Allah swt Upon His Command. For surely Allah swt is the Best Provider and His Will is Just.  Ibrahim a.s was commanded by Allah swt to sacrifice his son, thus he was tested through that and it became one of the very well known trials, as because of it Muslims have Eid ul Adha.  In the trials of Isa a.s, he was to be crucified due to the misguidance and animosity of the Jewish Rabbi's and enemies of Allah swt, May Allah swt Curse those thats stand to harm the Hujjah of Their Time, Inshallah, Mola Ali Waaris.  Of course now we now that it was not Isa a.s that went on the cross, but the Look alike, Ahmed a.s. Ahmed a.s sacrificed himself then, and Isa a.s will sacrifice himself at the time of the Mahdi a.s. So we find, that sacrifice plays a prevalent role in both of their lives and one could even go as far as to saying that the role it played was so big, that they are recognized by these significant events.  We know that all Prophets echo the Divine message of the Supremacy of Allah swt and not the supremacy of people.  During the time of Abraham, the construction of idols was limited to wood and stone. Whereas when it came to the time of Prophet Jesus a.s people had taken a mental leap from creating wooden/stone idols to creating idols out of human beings, (i.e. the misguided scholars).  I can safely say, that out of all of our learning's, we have never come across a more concise and deep understanding of the calls of some of the Prophets pbuta, as that presented by Ahmed al Hassan a.s in his book, "Enlightenment's From the Calls of the Messengers" which is available to read on The Savior website (www.thesavior.com). In this, he details how the struggle of the Messengers was repeated, Just like Ali a.s said, "History always repeats itself".  He explains how the I and the ignorance that resides inside the people had totally darkened their souls, even though they were amidst Prophets, yet their ignorance had completely blinded them to the truth. He speaks about how this struggle is not new and since the beginning of time, certain factions in society have considered their whims and desires, instead of the Will of Allah swt. May Allah swt Protect us from the Nafs, Inshallah, Mola Ali Waaris.
