on the distant star, men from the non-Arab Persians would reach it and the
luckiest of them would be the people of Faris.’’
(Jalal aI-DIn al-Suyuti (d. 1505): In his Tarikh al-khulifa' "History of the Caliphs’’)
So the fair, pale or slightly tanned skinned people we see today in North Africa
and the Arabian peninsula are not original Arabs but are in fact a byproduct of
a mixed marriages with the original Black skinned kinky haired Arabs or are
descendants of multitudes of fair skinned migrants to the region who later on
adopted the Arab identity, language, culture and history.
Ironically they then started to claim it as their own and deny the blacks of
their origin by either deliberately covering up the facts, subjugation and/or
manipulation of the Arabic language.
Where Are The Descendants of the Original Black Arabs Today?
Because of the media underrepresentation and discrimination against those
with dark skin in present day Middle Eastern and South East Asian countries,
most people will be unaware that original Black Arabs still exist all over the
Gulf region and in North Africa. There are whole tribes of them in Saudia,
Oman, Yemen, Kuwait, Qatar, Iraq, and Palestine.
They remain unnoticed in the popular media unless on some occasions they
are given high profile positions in government or representing the country in
sports, music or art. Apart from that they would remain invisible, as do for
example the 60 million descendants of Africans in South America in particular
in places such as Brazil.
Adel Al-Kalbani, the former Imam of Masjid al Haram of Makka, is from the
pure Arab tribe of Bani Kalbaan.
Bani Kalbaan are descended from Kulaib Wail and then from Taghlib the son
of Wa'il the son of Qaasit the son of Hanib the son of Afsa the son of Da'ami
the son of Judaila the son of Asad the son of Rabi'a the son of Nizaar the son
of Ma'ad the son of Adnan
