knowing that moments later this is the man that would strike him with the poisoned sword. If you and I know that our murderer was infront of us, would we do that? Or would we want to eliminate this threat there and then? Mola Ali Waaris. And despite this knowledge, Ali a.s him woke up, and moments later he went and struck Ali a.s with the poisoned sword. Even then did the mercy of Ali a.s stop? No. When Ibne Muljim l.a struck him, he saw what he had done and panicked, Ali a.s told the ones around him to give Ibne Muljim l.a a drink as he is panicking. SubhanaAllah! This is our Master Ali a.s! And we have examples such as these, yet we pick and choose? Astagfarullah,Mola Ali Waaris. We hear how Imam Zain ul Abideen a.s after Karbala, was feeding the poor throughout the night,as all the Imams a.s do. And he came across one of the criminals from Karbala, on the streets. When Imam Zain ul Abideen a.s reached to give him food, the man noticed the marks on the Blessed wrists of our Innocent Imam a.s from where the chains had been put on him from Karbala to Shaam. The criminal recognized it was Imam Zain ul Abideen a.s and remembered his own disgusting crimes in Karbala. This man was a part of the murder of Imam Hussain a.s and the other members of Ahlul Bayt a.s, he was part of torturing the Ahlul Bayt a.s and withholding water from them. Imam Zain ul Abideen a.s knew who this person was, but did he withhold his mercy? No. He still gave. When we call ourselves "Followers of Ahlul Bayt a.s", we cannot forget these examples when dealing with our opponents or those who we wish to hate. Have we ever sat and recalled our own sins? How many sins have we committed that if we remembered them, we would never be able to show our face in public? How many sins do we conceal? How many injustices have we done? In the very first issue of "The Mahdi Times" Sadik al Husaini wrote about a conversation he had with Imam Ahmed al Hassan a.s in which Imam a.s said to him how the most Injustice has been done against God. Even questioning or having an opinion over the Decision of God is a massive injustice When we remember our own sins and how lowly we are, then how can we even look at another person and speak about that persons mistakes? Yes, speaking about an enemy of Allah swt and Criminals of Ahlul Bayt a.s are in a different category, but to judge one another is rather hypocritical when we keep in mind that mountains of sins we carry on our own backs. "O son of Adam, when you see that your Lord, the Glorified, bestows His Favors on you while you disobey Him, you should fear Him (take warning that His Wrath may not turn those very blessings into misfortunes)." Imam Ali a.s "Take warning ! He has not exposed so many of your sinful activities that it appears as if He has forgiven you (it may be that He has given you time to repent)." Imam Ali a.s We must repent and remember to reach out of our comfort zone. Love for the Sake of Allah swt and remember the rights of the Believers. A verse that pushes me out of my comfort zone and forces me to smack up the Ego Monster is; "You will not attain true goodness until you give of what you love." (Surah Al 'Imran: 92) And we must give in our love, mercy, compassion and understanding and follow the example of Ahlul Bayt a.s for they are the Mercy of Allah swt and the Best example for us, InshaAllah, Mola Ali Waaris. ***
