Over the past few months there has been a surge of knowledge come into our lives by the Preference and Mercy of Allah (swt) in the way of translated books written by Imam Ahmed Al Hassan (a.s). MashaAllah the Ansar Allah are working so hard in order to share this wisdom to the world and may Allah (swt) reward them for every letter they work with. One of the latest translations to be released and one that I believe to be very important, and I seek refuge in Allah (swt) from the "I", is The Labyrinth or Path to Knowing Allah. For those who have read it, they understand the importance of this book, as it clarifies how and why Bani Israel became lost in the Desert (The Labyrinth) for 40 years, and how Muslims found themselves in that same desert. The Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w) said: “By Allah, Whom my life is in His Hand, you will follow exactly the steps of your predecessors, step by step, and you won't miss the path of the Children of Israel.” Sayyid Ahmed Al Hassan (a.s) explains how and why the Muslims followed the steps of Bani Israel, and most importantly for us in this time...he (a.s) gives detailed steps of how we can escape The Labyrinth and get onto the path of knowing Allah (swt). This is a book of Islamic history, a book of guidance, a book of Jurisprudence, a book of morals and ethics, a book of signs, a book in which the Imam (a.s) walks you through it all the way by using Qur'an and hadith and shows you the clear opening. This is a book of Divine planning, and many of those who have read it agree, that it is a book that should be known and understood and implemented into our individual lives and into our community. May Allah (swt) make it a benefit for the community, and may He (swt) reward every Ansar Allah who participated in its translation. Here is an excerpt from this blessed book by Sayyid Ahmed Al Hassan (a.s).
