the Question of Imam Mahdi Being Married By: Embasedor I N T H E N A M E O F G O D , T H E M O S T B E N E F I C E N T, T H E M O S T A well-known burden that seems to make people disbelieve that Imam AlMahdi (a.s) is if he has an offspring or a progeny. This is because they cannot accept that Imam Al-Mahdi (a.s) is married. Personally, I also had a hard time believing and accepting that Imam AlMahdi (a.s) has a progeny and is married and I am also pretty sure the majority of Muslims will have a hard time accepting that Imam Al-Mahdi (a.s) is married, and some will never accept it, and Allah knows best. The fundamental reason for us Muslims having a hard time believing that Imam Al-Mahdi (a.s) is married is because we have never heard of it, nobody ever told us, and we have never been acquainted with such a thing. However when we were acquainted, we were shocked. But the truth is there is nothing wrong with Imam Al-Mahdi (a.s) having been married. In fact, if we carefully study the of Ahlul bayt (a.s) or the wonderful religious benefits. For example, narrations state that a prayer accomplished by a married man is better than 72 prayers accomplished by an unmarried man. Furthermore, there are a lot of Quranic verses which encourage Muslims to get married. For example: narrations and Qur'an, it would not seem normal if Imam AlMahdi (a.s) was not married. Some people might say that Imam Al-Mahdi (a.s) is Infallible and he is unlike us and does not have the same desires as we do. Firstly, all successors of Allah (s.w.t) are normal humans, in the Qur'an Allah (s.w.t) states: “Say, "I am only a man like you.” Secondly Imam Al-Mahdi (a.s) does not necessarily get married for the reason of breaking his desire, there are other reasons, such as continuing the progeny [24:32] Arrange the marriage of the spouseless among you, and the capable from among your bondmen an
