Margret joined the American Association of University Women (AAUW) where she was an
active member, and held leadership positions as a local officer and on the State Board. In
1989 she was a founding member of the Southeast Valley AAUW branch where she served
as President for two, non-consecutive terms. In 1990 she organized a “Bridge for Education
Foundation Program”, which is still successful today. For her ongoing dedication, the
Southeast Valley named the 2012 Scholarship program in her honor.
Recently, Margret donated her Phi Gamma Nu pin to the newly re-initiated Delta chapter
at the University of Iowa. Margaret
