style is another and can be deeply offensive to a people who have lost so much.

Remembering dots were always a part of original Aborigine works in some communities and were used within the sacred ephemeral sand and bark paintings, wonderful ancient cave paintings and in the amazing petroglyphs of the Burrup Peninsular and elsewhere, a very distinct art style arose in 1971 at Papunya of the people themselves, with the sensitive and trusted help of artist and teacher Geoffrey Bardon who did so much to record thousands of works from these artists.
