His use of stereoscopic colour began with playing on his computer
with an old pair of 3D glasses and then liking what he saw so much a painting was done for his grand daughters. They took it to the Show and Tell at school… and the rest is history.
Roger has grand daughters in South Australia, New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland, and that’s what kicked it off – the teaching.
Ten years ago.
It was at a request from the Queensland Police for help with their PCYC programme for “Kids at Risk” that Roger developed this programme based on the 3D perspective - hence Art from the Heart” was born.
Art for the Heart not only involves Aborigine children and Police programmes for children but is for people of all ages and backgrounds, be they black, white or brindle, says Roger.
