Ralph Waldo Emerson who used the artistic asymmetrical electromagnetic theories of Immanuel Kant as the basis of his transcendentalist movement of the mid-19th century, considered that Vedic mathematics held a key to the development of Kant’s futuristic, artistic, ethical technology for the future betterment of the human condition. Having been associated with Vedic mathematical techniques being taught at schools to teach children a more rapid method to solve mathematical operations, an interesting departure from the traditional 9x9 multiplication table format was brought to my attention.
This modification produced artwork similar to works of the 1950s optical art movement but which now appears to simulate electromagnetic wave front formations (Agius, M.14 May 2018).
Vedic Mathematics is the name given to the ancient system of Math’s, which was rediscovered, from the Vedas between 1911 and 1918 by Sri Bharati Krishna Tirthaji, a scholar of Mathematics, Sanskrit as well as History and Philosophy who lived from 1884-1960. His research clearly reveals that, the entire mathematics is based on 16 word-formulae also known as the Sutras. Vedic mathematics includes Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry, Calculus and other forms of Mathematics.
