It was during those movements that we exchanged opinions on the visual way in which he built the story. His writing, in fact, was a succession of settings, where the landscape dialogued with the soul of the characters.
"These are things that a painter could propose," I said.
"It's true," he replied. "So I will ask Rizzoli to entrust Vincenzo Stinga with the cover illustration of Le parole del silenzio.
He was referring to the novel he was working on, set in the Sorrento Peninsula.
"Who is Vincenzo Stinga?" I asked.
"A painter from Sorrento."
"It's not a very well known name."
"He's a friend of mine."
