In the comedy “Una donna di casa” (A housewife), for example, tells the story of a woman with great artistic skills, who however has her husband sign her writings. Thus we have the precise representation of how people's opinion can be based on false knowledge.

This concept repeats itself in practically all the works of the Sicilian writer and perfectly outlines the characteristics of the success that, in my opinion, chase too many of my countrymen. For them the most important thing is to be believed clever, overbearing and great amateurs. But, in truth, they live in "fear", the fear of discovering the banality of which they are full.

Wanting to translate the concept in terms of quantum criticism, the conclusion is that in the perfect Sicilian universe the feeling of fear is the minimal particle that determines the movement of daily life and history on the island.

The fear of the Sicilians, among other things, is often justified by the excessive and capricious injustices that characterize the story.
