In the afternoon we find the peak of spirituality, when the confreres in procession reach the Istituto delle Orfanelle, to take the new bed, the one where the Dead Christ is deposited. This empty bed, which runs through the streets of the village amidst the funeral touch of the bells, carrying a hum of funeral in the crowd that makes it wing, seems to represent the universal ultimate destiny.

Thus, at sunset the statue of Christ is descended from the Cross and taken to the Church of San Nicolò-SS. Salvatore, to be buried. With the brothers dressed in white and the walls of the Via Roma punctuated with red, a scene of splendor and severity is created. The band accompanies the procession with music of mourning, stopping at the stations. Traditionally important is the Firrera stop, for the populameu song.

Once in the church, the statue is solemnly placed on a catafalque, in which span-lescamente dominates the red color, and then buried. Later, the public flowed, it is reported in great secrecy in the Church of Calvary.
