Winners of the MAG Valentines Day Competition
February 2017
Hi MAG Readers! It’ s Brittany, the winner of the Valentine’ s Day package, and what a package it was!
Toni and I started off our day being picked up at home with the car service and were escorted to The Wind Boutique Resort where we had a lovely breakfast.
If you are looking for a hidden gem in Vung Tau this is it. It has a great view of the city, beautiful pools and is set back higher on the mountain so it is quiet and has a nice breeze. If the day had stopped there it already would have been perfect!
Next, we were off to have the best cappuccino in Vung Tau at Australian Espresso! We weren’ t disappointed. Our cappuccinos were served with lovely little cookies. I was soon whisked across the street for my manicure and pedicure, where I was waited on hand and foot. Pun intended! Toni got to spend some time with Andrew and learn all about what goes on at the Mag.
Next, we were delivered home for our afternoon naps.( It’ s the one thing in this culture I can really stand behind!) We were picked up late afternoon to go to Caesar’ s Palace for a little bit of gambling and complimentary drinks! We both enjoyed some red wine, vouchers and tried our hand at the slots.( Lady luck didn’ t make an appearance)
After an hour there were escorted to The Pullman Vung Tau. We were delighted when we saw the room! You can imagine after living here for a few years it’ s been a long time since I’ ve been able to have an actual bath. We took the opportunity to freshen up before dinner and lounge around in big house coats!
Dinner was phenomenal. We shared a bottle of red wine and loved every course of the meal. I was certain the food couldn’ t get any better than that, but we had the breakfast buffet the next morning! I have never seen a breakfast buffet so huge in my entire life and I have been a lot of places. I would recommend anyone go there for a meal sometime!
It’ s well worth the price of admission! We didn’ t make it to the pool because the bed was just too comfortable. Toni managed to get some work done from his computer on the desk in the room while I snoozed away in the giant, comfy bed until checkout!
Now I’ m just trying to find the time to have Expat TV swing by so I don’ t have to leave the comfort of my own bed!
A big thank you to Andrew and everyone else at
The Mag
for choosing my cheesy Valentine’ s Day poem.
