Venice is one of the most charming cities in the world, instead of cars and trams, boats, water buses and gondolas are used for transportation. The major waterway of Venice is the Grand Canal( Canale Grande). Here, in the heart of Venice, tourists will find the most important and magnificent sights of the city.
Now we have our own slice of Venice in HCMC“ The Nghe Canal”.
There are two options for travel on this cruise offered by Ho Chi Minh City’ s Department of Tourism and Saigon Boat JSC, the conventional boat, called Chong, which is designed like a small ferry to carry 7-20 passengers or the more romantic aboard the Gondola boat, which carrys 3-5 passengers. You are welcome to take food and drinks on board.
The price is around VND220,000 per person and although it is not through a labyrinth of the canals as in Venice, it is an enchanting way to see the waterways of HCMC viewing the city with a different perspective. The cruise operates daily from 8am to 8pm and is a very pleasant way to spend 1 hour 15’ to 1 hour 30’ taking in sites not seen when travelling by car through the bustling streets.
