To the right of the cathedral, you will see prominent pieces of architecture namely the water tower and watch tower in the center, near Victory Park, Nha Tron named by locals- the pride of the people of Ba Ria city in particular and Ba Ria- Vung Tau in general. Built by French in the early twentieth century, is now at the crossroads of two major roads – Cach Mang Thang Tam st and 27 thang 4 st. Even with so many events throughout history, Nha Tron still stands majestically and steadfast, it’ s landscape as well as the national historic cultural site recognised in 1987. The water tank still houses 6 alarm systems installed by the Japanese. Present day Nha Tron is a place of cultural exchange, reading books about local people, and is home to hundreds of bird’ s nest. Surrounding Nha Tron are the ancient buildings with French architecture and were renovated to became the headquarters of the administrative offices of Ba Ria. It is interesting to visit Nha Tron to learn more about the history and cultural life of the locals amongst a sunny and breezy atmosphere. Sunset here is somewhat overwhelming with hundreds of swallows returning to their nests after a long day.
