HEM 444 The hem’ s sole purpose was to be used as a military road. It starts in the old fishing village and winds up to the top of Big Mountain. If up you travel down Le Loi St, you will come to Tram Phu St Turn left here and proceed until you come to HEM 444, again turn left and follow the Hem up to find, Cannon fields, lookout points, bunkers and underground munitions storage to list only a few.
To The Lighthouse Go to Ha Long St and take the turn off when you find Hai Dang St.( The road to the lighthouse) It’ s a beautiful scenic route up the mountain. Continue on until you see a smaller road going further up the mountain, go past it continuing
straight on until you hit a dead end. Here apart from fantastic views you can visit some of the actual fortifications. Turn around and go back the way you came and take the first turn right( smaller road you past before going further up the mountain). When you follow this to the end you will be at the Light House with views and more fortifications. to the Southeast region border gate. The Ancient Cannon Battlefield was divided into three areas: Da bridge Cannon Battlefield, Lon mountain Cannon Battlefield and Tao Phung Cannon Battlefield Eleven guns on Small Mountain are divided into three groups which are about 300 meters apart. The first group is located on the top of Nghinh Phong Cape at 136m above sea level and the second includes five guns is located near a solid underground hideout. The final group includes three guns that are linked together with a communications trench and an underground hideout.
The Jesus Statue Go to the foremost tip of Vung Tau by following Ha Long St. On your left you will see a park with a walkway going up to the Statue. On the way up you will encounter gun emplacements at various sites and finally the Jesus Statue itself with unparalleled views of Vung Tau.
