School 4 Pupils are expected to be kind and friendly, to treat each other as they wish to be treated. Two years in the Lower School settles pupils into our large community with a friendly and helping hand. This lays the foundation for their future progress and development within the school and helps them to become self-confident and independent, ready for the years ahead. There are whole year group social activities, including cinema trips, bowling, meals out in town, discos; as well as smaller events, when a couple of tutor groups combine for a film night or outing. Some of these occasions also function as charity fundraising events. The smaller size of Years 7 and 8 means that these pupils can get to know everyone else in the Lower School. They have a dedicated Common Room large enough for them all, and at break and lunch every day they can be found in there, socialising, playing table football or relaxing, if they are not busy with an activity from our co-curricular programme. “ I really love the environment at Sevenoaks and all the teachers that are so kind and supporting. I love that there are so many opportunities for you to meet new people and make life-changing friends. ” Lily, Year 7 the lower SCHOOL | AT SEVENOAKS
