Blogger Interview

Tanesha Awasthi

I started Girl With Curves in Febuary 2011

What inspired you to start a blog:

I needed a creative outlet outside my full-time job in the Tech field, so my hubby suggested I start a blog to showcase my shopping habits.

What advice would you give to new bloggers:

Have fun! It's important to love what you're blogging about- fun and passion is what will keep you going everyday!

Being a girl with curves myself, I find your photos truly inspirational from what we see out there in the media and fashion magazines. What is your thoughts on this?

Thank you so much, that's really my mission with GWC. I want to change lives through fashion, by promoting body-acceptance, self-esteem and being a role model for feeling confident in

your own skin. It's tough seeing women who don't resemble us in the media, and growing-up, I always wished I could find someone in a magazine to relate to, so I'm flattered to be that person for people now. It's so rewarding to know that I am changing at least one life out there in the world, by something as simple and fun as fashion.

You show such a positive attitude on your blog for loving your curves, do you ever find hard to stay positive?

I think we all have our good days and our bad days, but at the end of each day, I realize that this is my body in its natural state- I've had these curves since I was born (as my mom says!), so I might as well work with what I have and encourage others to do the same!
