Len- Steal My Sunshine
This week’s reader’s anthem is actually me. I am on vacation, my first solo vacation. I am emerging this wonderful, beautiful, smart, entertaining woman. I survived a mentally and emotionally abusive marriage which I lost myself and somehow got myself back with the help of my friends and family. I have a magazine that is inspiring people and becoming successful. I been reinventing myself physically, and loving me. I think that is a new reason to celebrate in life. I can now start to open my heart again and find the man I am really supposed to be with, let karma take care of what happen in my past.
So what can I have as my new anthem that says all of this? A friend told me “Don’t let your ex steal your thunder, you’re doing great.” As she said this to me the song “Steal My Sunshine” came on the radio. This was prior to me leaving for the airport for this vacation. It was the last song I heard before I went in to take the plane for my first solo vacation. It is has a fun energetic beat to it, and I dont want anyone to ever steal my sunshine again! So celebrate with me, enjoy the sunshine of new beginings, new hopes, new dreams!
