The Sin Of The Summer
An ongoing orginal story by Deanna L Samaan
As Kayla sat on her balcony watching the sunset, she was thinking back on her activities that have happened that summer. In a way it was one the best summers of her life, but was also one the most heart breaking one too. Her mind was racing with all the memories of her time with Samer. Samer is a handsome, sexy man, who she fell in love with. He was everything she could have ever asked for in a man, only he had
one flaw, Samer was married. For some reason, she didn't let that stop the love affair they would have over the summer.
As Kayla sat back and sipped some wine, she began to think of the first time they had met. It actually was online, he was single then, and he sent her an email after seeing her picture on a dating site. They quickly took the emails to the phone, where the conversations had turned into delightful nightly chat sessions. After about a week, Samer asked her to come visit him, he was even willing to pay for her plane ticket. Kayla suddenly couldn't do it. Her gut was screaming "do it" but her head told her to wait. Samer tried to convince her to come, but Kayla listened to her head, and thought best to wait a few months.
One night, her phone didn't ring, Samer didn't call her. The next night, the phone was silent again. It was odd, Samer always called her. Kayla didn't think much of it, and soon she became busy and didn't pay attention that it had been weeks since she last talks to Samer. Then one day while she was on Facebook, on her newsfeed, she saw Samer had just changed his status from "single" to "engaged". Crushed by seeing this, Kayla quickly sent a text to him asking why.
He confessed to her that he thought he pushed himself too hard on her. He was at a family wedding when he met his fiancé. They just clicked and he knew Kayla was too far away, and may never see him. He was sorry. Kayla wished him good luck.
