(Romans 12:1-2) 1I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

2And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

I spend more then an hour everyday feeding my natural man and don’t spend near enough time in prayer, let alone seeking the face of God. Limited prayer doesn’t give us time for intercessory prayer for the lost, or sufficient time to pray and war for the lost and for revival locally and globally. We as soldiers of the cross are called to war with the enemy and to put on the whole armor of God taking a stand against the wiles of the enemy. We are in a war and maintenance prayer is not intercessory prayer.

(Ephesians 6: 10-18 ) 10Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

11Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

12For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 13Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; 15And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. 17And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: 18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.

Just praying the me, me, me prayer and seeking God about the things that just effect us is not true intercessory prayer. It is maintenance prayer but it is not seeking the face of God. To seek the face of God means to intercede for God’s people and for revival and to war with the enemy. This happens to those who are seated with Christ Jesus in Heavenly places where we war against principalities and power and spiritual wickedness in high places.

(Ephesians 1:3; 19-21) 3Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: 19And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, 20Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, 21Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come.

What is seeking the face of God. It is doing whatever it takes to get the answer. It is to seek God’s face until he moves in the situation. Moses is a good example of one who truly interceded for God’s people.

(Exodus 32: 7-14) 7And the LORD said unto Moses, Go, get thee down; for thy people, which thou broughtest out of the land of Egypt, have corrupted themselves:8 They have turned aside quickly out of the way which I commanded them: they have made them a molten calf, and have worshipped it, and have sacrificed thereunto, and said, These be thy gods, O Israel, which have brought thee up out of the land of Egypt.
