Truth Be Told

Paige Elder

This is the unspoken truth.

The air filled with boredom-

The flickering light that caused the best entertainment-

The halls that bring a sense of anxiety-

The Blah Blah Blah… Blah… Blah

from the teachers that chose the wrong profession.

The missing assignments piling up,

The spilled tea,

The bustling noises of society screaming at you,

The right way,

The wrong way,

The food that destroys your insides

before you even want to try…try…try

That dress that’s hidden in the back of your closet,

 The lack of communication because

 COMMUNICATION ISN’T TAUGHT.

The he says, she says, they say them say.

The ongoing cursing that seems to empower your statement,

but radiates stupidity.

This is the unspoken truth.
