"M-mom..?" He choked. "Dad- he-"

She was on her knees, uncontrollably sobbing. He frantically scanned the area, heart sinking at the blood he saw.

"Dad-"

The sound of a gunshot pierced the air and rang loudly in his eardrums. The sound of the sirens felt drowned out for almost a second. The shadow that he accidentally invited collapsed in the distance before it could reach them. Thank god. There were exorcists.

"What.. What happened…" His voice shook as he looked up at a guy dressed in the familiar black uniform. "What happened to my da- Okamoto…"

"That's the thing… We don't know exactly..." A female voice replied from behind him.

 Dante saw her unable to meet his gaze. The Lieutenant? He thought. Small movements by her thigh lead him to see a young child behind her, seemingly shy. Though he couldn't see her so well, he made eye contact for a moment. Those golden hue eyes didn't feel of this world.

"But we can confirm… Mr. Okamoto… is-"

Hands suddenly cover over his eyes. His head tilted back, and he could hear a gruff… distorted voice, "you already know what happens. Why should anyone tell you?"

It burrowed into his head like a parasite. He could hear nothing else. There was only silence before darkness crashed in on him on all sides.
