The Looking Glass Volume 39 | Page 45

Dark

I’m hiding away where no one can see me.

My skin crawls and my hair stands on end.

I can’t see anything but

the black void on all sides of me.

There's a bang coming from the darkness.

I can’t let it get me.

I run as fast as I can

away from it all.

Don’t let it hurt me.

The floor booms under my footsteps

and I jump at the noise.

The smallest creak makes me cower.

The darkness surrounds me more

and I yell

Go!

Go away!

It doesn’t listen and I try to hide again.

If it can’t see me I’m safe

until I'm not anymore.

Until it gets me.
