What do you do when you think of a crash?

Seeing the shards all over the place,

maybe you think of the expenditure of cash.

The blood on the seats from the whiplash,

or people coming together.

What do you do when you think of a crash?

The place you are in

and the state the car is in.

Maybe you think of the expenditure of cash.

Lifting up your head to smell the toxic, white ash,

the burning of the wounds, or the intense migraine.

What do you do when you think of a crash?

Anger boiling, just wanting to lash,

lash out at the one who started all this.

Maybe you will think of the expenditure of cash.

You hear the sirens, and murmur: “Justice at last!”

But then wonder to yourself:

What do you do when you think of a crash?

Maybe the perpetrator being gone in a flash.
