We send this letter from a state of quarantine. Truly, these are unprecedented times.
As we record these words, it is uncertain whether we will return to school. We miss our friends and teachers. We long for community and familiarity. At times, it can feel overwhelming. However, in spite of these challenges, we thrive and create. We seek new modes of expression, and we find our voice in new ways.
If we could assign a theme to the 2019-2020 edition of The Looking Glass, it would be 'Beauty in Uncertainty’. This year, we have experimented with form and structure. This issue breaks traditions and conventions. It is bold and unapologetic and, like our students, unique and undeniably beautiful. We offer it for your enjoyment and, as always, we appreciate your support!
