By Myself

Jervin Manansala

When I am by myself in my room

And I use my phone,

I am an uncrowned king.

I’m lazy;

When I’m listening to music I go crazy!

I’m paralyzed;

No one can make me get up.

I’m a free man;

I can do whatever I want.

Colors

Rose-Keyla Vasquez

At home, all I saw were colors.

At school, all I saw were colors.

Outside, colors.

I saw colors.

Colors meant motivation;

But this was the old me.

The young me.

Now it’s dying.

Motivations…

Colors are fading…

Soon I won’t be able to see.

I’ll be blind.
